The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is the bilateral funding agency of the Swiss Government. It undertakes Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid initiatives in different countries of the world. The Development Cooperation activities aim at reducing poverty in developing countries by supporting the developmental activities of the Government and the civil society. It has some 14 priority countries where it has committed developmental funding. The Humanitarian Aid responds to emergencies, conflict, reconstruction, survival and advocacy in areas where it is most needed. The Swiss Agency has the following thematic areas as its focus:

Funding partnerships with NGOs are critical for SDC to achieve its goals in other countries. However, funding NGOs is mostly managed by the local offices of SDC.

Fund raising is a competitive process and you need to follow ethics and not spam donor emails with long, unrelated requests for grant support. If you just keep sending emails seeking support without knowing your donor, your chances of raising funds for your NGO will be drastically reduced and you may be blacklisted as a spammer.
